Trick Horse Training
Hi Folks,
Welcome to our web site.
Our goal for Imagine A Horse is to show everyone just how much fun we have at home with our own horses and to make it possible others to do likewise.
Our Photo Gallery will demonstrate what Imagine A Horse is all about.
It is MUCH more than merely teaching a trick to a horse... it is about creating an environment suitable for keeping a horse in a domestic situation that is happy and interested in learning and sharing human companionship.
Imagineahorse is a training discipline that is calculated to produce a true companion animal.

Enjoy our photos and yes, we would love to hear from you.

Allen

Take a Look Around

The following pictures will show you our schooling areas, specific for Trick Training, that we have created at the Red Horse Ranch.

Trick Training Stall

Schooling Stall with Gate Closed
The fold back and see through gates creates a 15x15 schooling area.

.
Salute and Sit Down
Hasana and Gater demonstrated a Salute and a Sit Down simulteneously.

.
Dedicated Lay Down Stall
This stall is kept bedded extra, extra deep in shavings for the comfort and safety of the horses in training.
Sue was practicing the Sit Down with Lady "C".

.
Lady's Sit Down
Allen is shown here shaping Lady "C" 's Sit Down on the beanbag.

This was a scene from the introduction to the Liberty Training dvd.

.
Slow Spin on Pedestal
This is a trick Gater made up initially as an evasion from stepping off the pedestal. Now it is part of his repertoire of agility tricks.

.
First Obeisance
This 2 week-old foal is trying to reach the grass but her overly long legs prevent easy access, so she is learning how to assume the stance we call Obeisance. It is a perfectly natural pose that we use as a fundamental building block in Trick Training.

.
Obeisance at Liberty
Here Gater assumes the Obeisance pose in front of a pair of curious onlookers.

.
Obeisance on Pedestal
An extreme version of the pose.

When executed as part of a ridden presentation that pose is sometimes also called a Circus Bow.

.
Double Salute
Alyah & Hasana are full sisters and were part of the Imagineahorse show for several years.

.
Alyah Salute Under Saddle
This photo was taken the very first day I ever asked Alyah to mount the multi-tiered pedestal under saddle. It shows how tricks taught at Liberty can mso easily morph into a mounted presentation.

.
Boldness
An example of two kinds of boldness--Hasan is shown doing a rearing pedestal mount and Alyah is standing her ground secure in her knowledge that Hasan will accurately place his feet on the pedestal.
